Dear Parents, Guardians and Carer’s,
Wow what a cold snap we have been having. I have certainly experienced how cold Traralgon can be over the past couple of weeks.
Here we are at the final newsletter for term 2 which is very hard to believe already. We have had lots happening over the past couple of weeks and more to come to next week.
Congratulations to our grade 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 3rd June. We were all very lucky to celebrate 2 beautiful masses with Bishop Greg and Fr Aju on this evening. It is lovely to see Fr Aju and parishioners celebrating mass each Thursday morning with our classes.
Our senior students have experienced great success in the school sporting arena over the past 2 weeks. Congratulations to all students who participated in the very wet & cold conditions on Wednesday 8th June in the District Winter Sport Competition. We successfully won through to the Division stage in Football & Soccer (both boys and girls). These teams played off on Wednesday 15th June and once again were successful in winning all of their matches. They all now join our boys & girls Hockey teams to compete in the Regional Competition at Sale to be held in Term 3. A big thank you to the staff and our parent coaches who are helping out with these teams. We are very proud of the students and your expertise in helping them be successful.
In staffing news we have a few changes coming up for Semester 2. We are very sad to announce that Mrs Megan Polson will be leaving us at the end of term. Thank you Megan for the expertise you have brought to our school in the area of Performing Arts. We are currently in the recruitment process for a replacement.
Mrs Meadbh Flannigan will begin maternity leave as of the end of term 2. We look forward to meeting her new baby in term 3. We are currently in the recruitment process for a replacement.
As this is the last newsletter for the term, we wish you all a safe and happy mid year break. Hopefully you get away to some sunshine. Term 2 will conclude at 2pm on Friday 20th June.
Kind Regards
Michelle

Signing children in and out of school
If your child needs to leave early, or has an appointment, then parents must sign in when they return/arrive. A note must be supplied to the classroom teacher so that they are aware of why the child is leaving and they can then record the absence. Alternatively this can be entered as PNA via PAM.
