In this movement program students receive information primarily through visual, auditory, tactile, vestibular and kinesthetic senses. The students complete 6-7 activities in a 25 minute program. The House captains in Yr 6 and other senior students in the school assist the teachers whilst the students participate in the confident building activities. Achievement Program - Stacey Podmore
Stacey Podmore who has worked as a Senior Health Promotion Officer at Latrobe Community Health and has worked with a number of staff at St Gabriel’s over the last few years in helping our school complete the “Healthy Schools Achievement Program”. The Healthy Schools Program is centred around 7 key health areas which include: healthy eating, physical activity, mental health and well-being, sun protection and safe environments. Each health area has a set of targets to achieve, resulting in health changes to your school’s physical environment, policies and practices and health promotion activities. I would like to thank Stacey for her support and encouragement in helping St Gabriel’s become a Healthier and Achieving school.
